Banjar Hot Springs is one of the natural hot springs in Bali that attracts many tourists. The hot water originates from a natural spring that is believed by many locals to have healing properties for various skin ailments such as scabies, water fleas, ringworm, and tinea.
The hot water can be used for skin disease treatment due to its sulfur content (approximately 26 percent sulfur content and a water temperature of 35 degrees Celsius).
The hot water pool is divided into three sections:
- The first hot water pool is located at the highest level, with a width of 1.5 meters and a length of 12 meters. The first pool has 8 hot water spouts with a depth of 1 meter.
- The second hot water pool is located below the first level. The second pool has a length of 12 meters and a width of 10 meters. It is the widest among the three pools here. If you swim in the second pool, please be cautious as the depth of the hot water pool varies.
The closest to the spouts has a depth of 1 meter, and it gradually decreases to 2 meters. Because the second pool is the largest and has varying depths, it has become the favorite hot water pool for visitors to swim or soak. - The third hot water pool is located to the west of the second pool and is separated from the other pools. There are spouts in the third pool, with a height of approximately 3 meters. This pool is not deep, only as deep as an adult’s waist, and visitors often use the falling water from the spouts to massage their backs.
